Detox Bath

Sometimes our bodies get tired; our minds get tired, too. I have stumbled upon a great way to reboot and feel great.


The Detox Bath:

-Four cups epsom salt

-A bottle of hydrogen peroxide

-1/2 cup of baking soda

-A few drops of essential oil (optional)


Make sure water is nice and warm, not hot. Light a candle, relax, and you’re good to go!

I do this about once a week, allowing myself to soak for 30-45 minutes and holy schnikes, I definitely feel amazing after. I’m not well-versed in the science behind detox bathing, but what I do know is epsom salt is excellent for sore, tired muscles. Hydrogen peroxide — as we all know — works great for a number of things (mouth sores, cuts, sore throat, skin blemishes, etc). Baking soda kills fungi and mold and can be used for medicinal purposes as well.

The essential oils I use are below:

Any brand of essential oil works great in my opinion, as long as it’s 100% natural. Peppermint feels refreshing on the skin and smells nice, too. You can find essential oils on Amazon for a fair price. No sense in buying them from a “distributor.”

I will probably never waste another dime on an expensive Lush bath bomb again. Bath bombs are fun, but what are we really paying for?
